County promotes new smartphone app

Clay County officials are promoting a new smartphone app they say will make it easier for residents to report problems and request services.

“Clay Connected is a new easy-to-use mobile app and online service request platform to report a problem, request services, and get information from a desktop or mobile device,” the county said in a news release. “The free Clay Connected app is available for Android and Apple devices in the app store or on the ClayCountyGov.com home page.”

Officials added that residents can easily report an issue like a missed collection service or a pothole or request recycling bins with a few simple clicks. Users can also get information on various county services, departments, and opportunities.

“The goal of the platform is to raise the bar regarding customer service in Clay County and give residents a way to stay connected to their local government and services,” the county said in its release. “This new platform will help them get the information and help they need at their fingertips.”
