Green Cove Springs begins installation of remote meters

The City of Green Cove Springs said it began installing remote meters throughout its service area on Nov. 1.

“These new meters will be able to track and report electric, water, and wastewater usage of all buildings within a radius,” the city said in a news release. “So, these new meters will be placed strategically throughout the city to accurately read the meters of all customers.”

The city said that in addition to remotely reading meters to bill customers, the new devices will also help customers in tracking the source of any leaks or abnormal usage in their utility bills.
