Ladder truck used to extinguish mast fire on boat

Clay County Fire Rescue put out a fire on a sailboat within the Green Cove Springs Marina Sunday Morning. The agency said it used a ladder truck to access the mast, spraying water directly down the pole used to carry sails.
No one was injured in the blaze, which occurred in the marina’s drydock.
The 40-foot vessel suffered significant damage, including a melted mast. The agency reported the incident at 5:52 a.m. and said the blaze was under control at 7.
