The Clay County Chamber of Commerce hosts Finally Friday

Dozens of businesses made 30-second pitches about their enterprises to the other attendees. Some of the participants were:

Kate Reeve of Communikate Marketing and Design.

“What do I do?” Reeve asked the crowd. “Everything between branding, websites, right design and more.”

Reeve said her fundamental role is that of an informational designer. “What does that mean?” she continued. “Information has a hierarchy. “It’s not all in caps, underlined, black, red, yellow. There’s a structure to it. The same thing needs to happen in your marketing communication. Let me help communicate your message today.”

Luke Stevens of WAY Radio

“We have five frequencies around Northeast Florida,” Stevens said, “all of them devoted to preaching the gospel and to helping you grow closer to God.”

Stevens asked the audience to give his station a try.

“Reclaim your radio,” Stevens said, “because, after the political season, we need a little hope.”

Lori and Paul Whitman of Seniors Helping Seniors

“Our workforce is the senior workforce,” said Lori, “and they’re there to be companions, homemakers and sitters with other seniors. They can relate to them; they have something in common. It’s nursing, and we have quite a few people currently in Clay County. We have 18 employees, and we’re excited to be here.”

“I don’t know if any of you have had to face the situation of what do we do for mom and dad as they’re getting a little old,” added Paul. “The cost of putting them into a home or assisted living is quite high, and we’re an alternative.”
