Two hospitalized in Blanding Boulevard shooting

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office said one person was shot, and another suffered lacerations to the face after the vehicle they were in took gunfire from another car.

The shooting occurred near Blanding Boulevard’s intersection with Jefferson Avenue.

A sheriff’s office spokesperson said the shooting may have been sparked by road rage.

The shooter fled northbound on Blanding.
