Woman found dead in Middleburg park

Clay deputies said the woman was found dead, seated in a car within Omega Park on County Road 218, one mile west of State Road 21 in Middleburg, Saturday night. The victim had injuries to her head and face.

“This incident doesn’t appear to have been a random act,” the agency said on social media, “and at this time, foul play is suspected.”

The office is asking anyone who visited Omega Park that may have information regarding the incident to contact the agency’s non-emergency number at 904-264-6512. Residents can also submit an anonymous tip through the SaferWatch App.
